Holiday spirit is arriving early in Bismarck as The Big One Bismarck Christmas Show returns November 21–22 at the Bismarck Event Center. With more than 250 local and regional vendors, this festive shopping weekend promises unique gifts, handmade crafts, home décor, tasty holiday treats, and fun for the whole family.
Bowling Green residents who love holiday road-tripping or have family in North Dakota may also enjoy planning a visit or getting gift ideas from this beloved Upper Midwest event.
The Big One is one of North Dakota’s largest and longest-running holiday markets. For over 40 years, it has brought together hundreds of small businesses, artists, bakers, woodworkers, jewelry makers, and seasonal crafters.
Shoppers can expect handcrafted ornaments, DIY home décor, quilt work, specialty foods, boutique clothing, toys, candles, and North Dakota-made artisan goods — perfect for early Christmas shopping. Holiday-themed food vendors will also be on-site, serving homemade fudge, caramel treats, baked goods, and more.
This year’s show is expected to draw thousands of attendees from across the region as Bismarck gears up for the 2025 holiday season.
“We want this to feel like the kickoff to Christmas,” said show organizer Nancy Johnson. “It's not just a market — it's a holiday tradition. Families come to browse, taste treats, meet local makers, and make memories.”
Local vendor and candle-maker Ashley H. added, “Events like this remind us why people love handmade gifts. Shoppers get one-of-a-kind pieces, and we get to share our passion with the community.”
As Bismarck lights up for the holidays, The Big One Christmas Show offers more than shopping — it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and festive spirit. With locally made products and family-friendly cheer, it's the perfect way to support small businesses and kick off the Christmas season.
