In a spirited showdown, the Bismarck High Demons fell to the highly ranked Century Patriots in a key Class A volleyball matchup Tuesday night in Bismarck. Despite strong rallies and loud home support, Century took the match in straight sets.
Century, one of the top-ranked teams in North Dakota volleyball, came into the game with an impressive winning record. Bismarck entered determined to pull an upset and strengthen their postseason hopes.
The match featured fast volleys, quick digs, and long rallies that kept fans at the Bismarck High gym on their feet. The Demons had several scoring runs, especially in the second set, but Century’s defense and power hitting made the difference.
Century’s win keeps them near the top of the NDHSAA Class A standings, while Bismarck continues battling for playoff positioning.
Senior player praised the crowd. “The energy in the gym was awesome. We wanted this one, but we’ll learn from it and come back stronger.”
