Bobcat Company has just wrapped up a $4.8 million renovation of its Bismarck, North Dakota facility—refurbishing 22,560 square feet of shared office, breakroom, conference, and collaboration spaces to modernize operations and support its workforce.
Over 700 employees—from production to engineering—work at Bobcat’s Bismarck complex.
Strengthening roots in the capital region: This renovation continues Bobcat’s decade-long investment track record in North Dakota (more than $82M invested in ND facilities) and its $260M footprint across the U.S.
Better work environment = better performance: With upgrades like ergonomic stations, open layouts, energy-efficient systems, and cross-departmental connectivity, the project aims to boost productivity, safety, and morale.
Bismarck houses Bobcat’s Acceleration Center—a key engineering, R&D, and testing facility. This refresh underscores the city’s role in Bobcat’s global aspirations.
Scott Zimmerman, Bobcat’s Environmental Health & Safety manager, added: “We prioritized safety and security—with ergonomic workstations, advanced lighting, and open office layout. Communication and teamwork across departments have already improved.”
This $4.8 million revamp is more than cosmetic—it’s a message that Bobcat is doubling down on Bismarck. For locals, it means better workplaces, more stability, and a reaffirmation that this city remains central in the company’s national strategy. With upgraded facilities and modern infrastructure, Bismarck strengthens its position as a hub for manufacturing, innovation, and high-skill employment.
Bismarck’s fall weather demands flexibility—one day might be sunny and mild, the next cool with drizzle. Locals know: plan layers and always carry a rain barrier.
